I did a lot of research before the purchase, and the message that came through loud and clear - don't buy an E55 without a warranty!

the first time i drove an AMG (SL55) i also still had my Evo IX with bolt-ons and flash, and like you i loved the solid/luxurious interior and the quiet ride. but what i loved most was the insane amount of TORQUE. these cars are automatic so when you're angry just put the pedal to the metal and hold the **** on; the torque band is so fat. can't imagine what the 65's feel like with 738 lb-ft of torque

but i dont see myself ever getting into an AMG for at least another 6-8 years since for now i still enjoy more nimble cars that i can toss around in the bends. the AMGs are too serious for a college grad like me, for now.

Nice car! My neighbor has let me drive his CL55 a few times. He has a few mods and makes right around 500rwhp and 550rwtq. It's a monster. When you're not wailing on it, it's very comfortable, quiet, and relaxed. Big MB AMG cars definitely have a strong appeal.

Haha...ditto man. My future wife will have an AMG. I'll rock the //M or Porsche. I'm gonna get this JDM stuff out of my system. I'm scared I wont be back after I go European.

Nice, congrats. Love the Tectite/Steel Gray I have been keeping a close eye on the E55 pricing, some great deals out there. Did you even consider the C63? That is one hell of a motor and a car I fully intend to own when the time is right.

trust me from first hand experience... the JDM thing isnt in your head, its pumping through your heart in the form of plasma within your blood... you can never get it out! i went from Hondas, to Benzes, to Vipers, to a Suburban, to a few Diesel trucks, to a few more Benzes, to Lambos, and had to buy another Honda to get that old fix i loved so much... and somewhere in between... we started PWJDM! you're future wife is gonna love AMG... my wife sure does!

OP.. Great move!!! now go get that shot of Brabus and you'll seriously be hooked! AMG and M cars are race ready with a full interior from the factory!
