Love the 911TT, but adding another 50 or so HP to an already super-high HP car doesn't really excite me. Now if they shed 200# off its weight then that's progress. I know they have the GT3 but that's beside the point.

impressive but i still think the turbo is for wealthy lawyers who cant drive and the gt3/R is for enthusiasts.
I'm not a wealthy lawyer....

But I do think the TT is a better DD than the GT3/RS though.

Actually, that would be the 997 GT2.

Doesn't the Accord V6 have dynamic engine control mounts? Once again Honda shows they are an engine company as much as anything else
If they really are then we wouldn't be bombarded with sh!tbox FWD losers across their entire range.

Double-clutch gearboxes are the future, and this is coming from a guy who just bought a 6-speed Cayman. Especially on these ultra-high-performance cars, it's really foolish to have a manual box because when you're talking about 3.3s 0-60 times, putting a human in charge of the gearshifts would become a significant limiter to performance. It's smoother and faster in any situation -- it's simply better.

If you want to drive an anachronism that has less than 400hp and lets you row the shifter yourself, buy an S2000 or a 6-speed Cayman.

almost traded in my 6spd CS for a PDK late last year. if it weren't for the stupid buttons (they didn't have the paddles out at the time) i would've probably gone after it.

What the previous Turbo S had over the "regular" Turbos in the last model were larger turbos (K24's vs. K16's), & slightly larger intercoolers making adding hp to the 600-620 hp area possible (the k16's were usually tapped at around 550-560 hp). The new VVT turbos have shown to be able to be good for up to around 620 hp before you need to swap them out. Hopefully larger VVT's are part of the S package (EVO makes larger VVT's good for about 700 hp.
