new 370z
#61
When I was shopping for my car last year, my list looked like this, in order:
1. 2012 Boss 302
2. 370z w/ Touring and Sport packages
3. 2005 S2000
I've always wanted an S2000 and almost bought one new in 2002, but I was single and didn't really need 2 cars. Of the three, I bought the S2000 because it really was so inexpensive for the smile; I will probably never get rid of it, and I will add a Boss 302 to the stable in a couple of years when the low mileage used cars start coming to market. I've never wanted a Mustang, but the Mustang engineers had similar goals with that engine as the Honda engineers had with the S2000 (race-car inspired). IMO, that makes a production car special, and I like that.
I really like everything, including the styling of the 370z, but it costs almost as much as the Boss and doesn't have anything as special about it.

Best Current Japenese sports cars are GTR and 370Z still in production and more plans... and what the hell is honda doing? coming out with an NSX nobody can afford and no enthusiast cars for guys in their 30's. Just a bunch of economy cars and you guys have the nerve to hate on the 370Z.

I like this thread.... both the z and the s are great cars, and you all are comparing apples to oranges. These cars are so far removed from eachother its not even compareable! With such a distance between them every pro/con is going to be based on opinion and faith in one's brand. Im actually looking for a track pack 350z to try out. If i dont like it ill go back to a newer S.
