I personally think it looks slightly better than the Civic.
They've all got to start somewhere, the first Lexus LS was an MB copy, and IMO still is.

Hmm, and hyundai does have an I4 turbo in their stable, say what you want about the watered down 4b11, a cheap i4 turbo vs. the si will own. "Oh it's not all about power you know!" or "It'll handle like crap!" or "interior/feel sucks!" "I'd rather spend almost 10 grand more for a better car!" Oh yeah, I forgot, alot of those ms3/evo/sti folk when asked knows approx how much hp they make, but can't give you their track times.
But I digress, starting to look way to much like dejavu.

Those that argue its better looking than the civic...well, I sure hope so..the civic is what? 4 years old now? Guess what? I'm sure the next civic will be better looking than this Kia..and maybe in 4 years, Kia will release a Forte that's better than the upcoming civic..and so on, and so on...

Considering the acura lineup, may not happen. But then again the crz looks great, but has a lot of the same design elements.

I think it looks great and any negative comments about it's appearance root from peoples perception of the brand.
why knock on it because it has a Kia badge?
i hope car and driver does a comparo between the two, as a matter of fact someone should suggest it to them! id like to see the winner, and sure we can throw in the corolla S as well to see which comes out on top!

I think Kia is eating Honda's lunch - the Civic is arguably the most important car Honda makes, and the Forte is a great alternative on all counts. The Forte coupe has 30 more hp than the Civic EX for $2k less, with a ton more features and a 6-speed manual, and a much longer warranty.
I guess you can pan the car sight unseen, but if the Forte is as good as the rest of the new Korean cars, Honda needs to worry imo, especially if Kia releases a sport version of this car.
