well, close...

I'd move the Celica GTS in front of the RSX-S on looks alone... but add in that it only weighs 250llbs makes it a bit better too.

The only reasons someone wouldn't agree is if they are a Honda fanboy.

MS3 is the King of FWD/Complete package right now given their price point.
Or don't have the money to buy an MS3. Keep in mind we're talking about a 2002-2005 Si here, which can be found for $7,000 or less. MS3's are about $9,000 more so the original post saying the MS3 is better isn't really relevant considering they're so much more expensive.

My friend has an EP3. Its actually a really fun car. The shifter takes some getting used to but its not bad once you drive it a bit. Its a sporty little car. You can fit quite a bit of stuff in the back too. Not to mention the seats are really comfortable

The looks are a love/hate kinda thing. I've heard some people refer to my friend's EP3 as a mini Odyssey and a dust buster on wheels

Well a MS3 can be had for around $14K used and it being double the price is because you're getting twice the car.

But I agree, within the scope of the cars mentioned it is out of the OP's price range.

love this car...always had a soft spot for it even though it was considered an ugly honda duckling. Had the seats in my accord for many years...very very comfy and usable seats.

Along with the other cars in that list.

And I dunno if I'd agree with the base rsx>EP3, I mean yes, I'd rather have the RSX cuz it is a nicer car, but the type s year for year isnt that much more (especially when you consider a base rsx with an auto tranny and leather, quite surprising) and everyone will knock you for not getting the type s. It's sorta like getting a v6 camaro/mustang. So in that regard I'd rather get the ep3.
The EM1 is lighter (23xx) vs. the ep3 (27xx), but you get more car with the ep3. The chassis is rock solid, the ride is quiet, the car itself is just a lot more substantial, but driving it around you wouldn't notice it too much, but the high driving position vs the em1 makes it feel a lot less agile.

I'd get a 2000 Celica GT-S for about the same price.

Fuel economy will be about the same but at least when you feel like having a little fun you can.

And the GT-S only weighs 2500 pounds. Lighter than an Integra Type R by 100 pounds.

I had an EP3, it was gutless. It would have been a really great car if it had the RSX Type S motor in it like it should have. It's only a 5 speed as well. I'm telling, the motor sucks in that thing.

VTEC?

damn sometimes I think the S feels a bit gutless and long in the tooth but then other times I absoluetly love it.
