Default Need an SUV

What to get?

Requirements:
Reliable, 7 seater, good gas mileage, AWD preferred but not needed, comfortable, can tow around 4k pounds and cheap on maintanence.

I was thinking of Ford Flex, are they any good?
Need to get one by tomorrow and SUVs aren't my forte

Thanks in advance!

Flex starts over $29,000 and is not what I'd consider SUV.

EDIT: What you're looking for is the Suzuki XL-7.

Mazda CX9? ...might not be considered and "SUV" either.

My mom has a CX7 which I borrow from time to time when I need to carry something larger than my wife's Accord can handle. It's a really nice vehicle...and from all the reviews I've read, the CX9 seems to be better.

While I think the CX-9 is a great choice, it's up in the early 30k range.

How about the Mitsubishi Outlander?

I'm okay with buying used so that opens up a few more choices.

I think you are asking for a lot while trying to maintain a 20k$ budget.

Its kind of like that sports car saying saying: Cheap, fast, reliable - pick two.

Right off the bat, SUV and good gas mileage generally don't really jive to well..

My sis in law has been very happy with her Ford Freestyle. That was the original SUV thing that Ford released on the platform that now gives the Flex. The Taurus X was the same thing with a different name and I think a few more ponies under the hood. In any case, a great vehicle though the interior of the Freestyle was one of Ford's transitional ones. Solid, good ergonomics but the materials look cheap. You can get 26mph on the highway... if you don't speed and your state speed limit is 60

I'm not looking at Tahoe/Suburban sized SUVs. Smaller than that with a v6 powerplant is perfect. I don't need power or torque (even though I mentioned towing, it's not too important).

Thanks rockville, I haven't driven the Flex yet but it looks pretty decent (for what it is). I've also been looking at the B9 Tribeca, it's not pretty on the outside but the interior seems beautiful.

The number one choice would be an Audi Q7 but it's bit out of my range and there aren't too many around.

$20K would have to be a used SUV, as I don't think any 7-seat SUV is $20K brand new.

In that case, then I'd suggest a used AWD Pilot; drives like a big car and has all the requirements you listed.
