S2000, RSX Type-S, Mini Cooper Works, RX-8, Audi TT, or an IS300(5 spd, but hard to find) are all I can come up with.
I just went through the same thing with my wife...Got rid of her RX300 for an RSX-Type S last weekend.

And I don't see how you can consider the car not worthwhile?
Acura refuses to spend the money to develop a real chassis. Instead we get a warmed over Accord with lots of cheap leather and a few nice features for a decent price. Good, but not good enough given the competition.

I like the IS330, M3, BMW 330, G35C...
I know it's a lot cheaper then your price range indicated, but a Mini might be fun for her. You could get a Cooper S and still have tons of money left over for mods

Gee, that's too much of a money range.
Also it depends on what you mean by zippy. If she's like my wife, she doesn't care much about pushing Gs around corners.
The CLK 500 is sweet but what a price.
Regardless, the G35 and TSX are a better value.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions. Feel free to keep adding more. Here's what I have so far -
- Acura TL/TSX
- Audi A4/S4/TT
- Infiniti G35 coupe
- Nissan 350Z
Already looked at and didn't like -
- BMW 330i/Ci
- Lexus SC430
- Lotus Elise
- Mazda RX-8
- Mini Cooper S
Cars already in the family -
- Acura RSX Type S (Her sister-in-law has one)
- Lexus IS300 (Her cousin has one)
- Mercedes CLK500 (I believe her uncle has one)
Not sure of -
My wife's parents have a Mercedes S430 that's supposedly been giving them some problems. I'm not sure if it's more car related or more customer service related, but we may stay away from Mercedes for the time being.
- Mercedes SLK32
- Mercedes C32
Any new cars coming out within the next year or so? Thanks again.

Btw, she's not really into modifying her car so she'll probably want something that's nice stock. Also, we're open to 2 dr/4 dr cars. No need to limit anything there.
