shame the CTS-V is out of the running; that's what I would have picked. the 3.6L CTS is nice, but not after you've considered the V
MDX, are you a fan of the 300C/Charger? those are my favorite sedans in that price range.
hate to sound like a Detroit fanboy, but that's what happens when M-B, Volvo, Lexus, and Infiniti are out of the running
edit: just noticed that you're considering the TL and G35. although I'm still in love witht the G35 coupe, I actually prefer the TL ofer the G sedan

G35 is out. I don't want to buy a car that will be outdated in 6 months. So its between a passat and Tl.
I testdrove a Passat 3.6. Wow!!. That thing is awesome. Fast as shiet. Minimal Tq steer. great handling sports sedan.
I am testdriving the Tl this wknd.
Now, If I can only find a Passat 3.6 with sport pkg
Thanks for your help guys.

Well guys, that was the quickest car shopping experience ever.
I drove a Passat 3.6 on friday. Liked it a lot. Drove a Tl on sat. Pretty good car, but I preferred the passat. The price was similar. The TL has bluetooth which is a dealer accessory in the Passat. I preferred the drive of the passat, and I preferred the passat interior/exterior.
So, yesterday, I bought a 2006 Black VW Passat 3.6 with sport package 1 and Dynaudio system(600 watts/ 10 speakers). MSRP was $34600 or so. I got it for $32995 + TTL. I preferred the V6 to the 2.0T because I am not quite confident in Audi/VW turbo's and because it came with more standard equipment.
I have driven it about 80 miles so far. The car is awesome!!!. Full review once its broken it and I can spank it a bit. Will put up pics later tonight.
Thanks for your help.

Congrats MDX! Could you explain why they are already discounting $3,700 on a brand new car?!?!? That seems like a great price for what appears to be a very good car!

Cory - aren't you the accountant.
$1700 cuz they knew i would just go to Dallas and get a similar deal. I didn't mind paying $1000 over invoice for a car that was the right color, right options and a dealer that was 2 miles from my home. The whole car buying experience took less than an hour and 30 minutes of it was the salesman showing me some features and activating Sirius.
I guess I need to find a place to host my pics since I am not a member. I will try later today.
