Default Need advice on how to ship a set of seats

Hey Guys
I need to ship out a set of seats. See below:

I cannot take them apart like S2k seats.
They are about 24x26x39. 30 pounds each.
Whats the best way to ship them from 08816 NJ to 91364 in Cali?
One large box and put both of them in there? or 2 seperate boxes. I'm looking at about $200 to ship them via fedex using 1 large box @ 70 lbs, does that sound right? Thanks
Mike

I use Greyhound to ship my ScoobySport WRX exhaust when I traded in my WRX for S2000 back in 2003. Worked out well. You could just wrap them to a pallet and a have a shipper pick them up.

Easy: Put them in a box and mail them to:

Mr.E.G.'s House
123 Badass Lane
Superballs, TX

Those seats look damn nice.

I would stack them 69 style, wrap them in that clear cellophane mover's wrap, then strategically tape some cutup pool noodles to various parts of the seats, then cut to fit a box around them.

I have saved myself a good deal of money by making a box that is as small as possible and I think that if I bought a safety item like a racing seat, I would want to make sure the seller protected it from the shipper's carelessness.

shipnex.com

Better prices, I've shipped a few sets of wheels through them, never had an issue. Print out labels, drop off at local UPS site/store.

Agreed... you could probably stack these in such a way that the resultant package is not much larger than that of a single seat. This would definitely save money.

I would wrap the seats individually before bundling them up together, possibly w/pool noodles in between the seats.

If they're shipped ground, any surfaces where the two seats are touching will be subjected to abrasion from vibration over every single bump in the road all the way from 08816 to 91364. It may not seem like much, but by the end of the trip there could easily be a noticeable wear spot where once there was none.

Other than that, I second what the EG said.
