ya, sounds like he said something else with little or no info to back it up
Ok, Ok, let's not start a riot.

That's not what I was implying at all.

SO i saw this thread before I went to sleep the other day...and I was like ohhh boy, can of worms.

I was right!

but anyway, Glad you love your new car man, I'd love to drive a NC ...but honestly I love the look of a s2k better. If i had to pick a miata, I'd pick the NB, roll cage, coilovers, rims. teh sexy.
I think everyone has been fairly civil for the most part. We may yet reach critical mass, but it seems we are a long ways away from that so far. lol

I can't addresss your insecurities around what kind of car you drive (I'm old enough, and married, so I couldn't care less), but the acceleration difference is a lot smaller than you might think.
I'm old and married too and my 3rd S2000. Most of my friends when they are trying to insult me call my S2000 a Miata on purpose. I'm not insecure... I usually laugh them off because... well... its not a Miata and thank God for that.

[QUOTE=2007 Zx-10,Aug 11 2009, 03:50 PM] That stiffness number for the S2000 seems very low, I recall seeing it in the 22,000 range on another listing.

^One thing abt torisonal rigidity...I have NO numbers to back this up, but with a slight drop on coilovers on my AP1, with NO aftermarket body bracing whatsoever, my car will lift one wheel when I go over certain curbs...no other STOCK car I have ever seen will do this. The only one i've seen doing this (same curb) was a neon SRT-4 that was caged, slight drop, idk what else...

Apparently it is closer to 7,000. I'd love to know how this is actually measured.

Yeah, one of the places I found that someone else mentioned that too [i.e., the low S2K number] - they also mentioned what EG did about factoring in weight (someone had taken several dozen of these and done the math).
I'm confused. You are quoting zx-10, but I can't seem to find his original quote anywhere in this thread. Id that a quote from another thread?

What gives?

Do you regularly observe cars with coilovers going over certain curbs to see if they lift a wheel?
