I never heard the bit about he rx-7 leading to the c5 corvette. Do you have any sources on that?
Regarding the nsx and the c5 corvette, the chief designer on both was Ken Okuyama, who later went to pininfarina. Stylistically they aren't that much similar - the NSX explifies 80's supercar styling and the c5 corvette leans to he round, jellybean/ovoid" styling of the 90's.

+1
It was pretty obvious to me as well; definitely a lot of RX-7 and NSX cues in there.

Nobody on here talks about the Nismo 350z
The Nismo 370Z, however, is a much better looking (and performing) car (as long as it has the oil cooler). I'd be all over that one.

If I never saw another 350Z, I'd be a happy man. It's that ugly.

Don't start, man. They already deleted a bunch of crap; we don't need more of it.

sorry johnnnyy boyyyy, you going to any of the upcoming events (hpde s at tws or harris hills) ?
I'm looking for another sports car but won't buy for at least a year, probably. I want to pay cash so it'll take a bit to save what I need.

I don't have my S2000 any more, so probably not. A Ford pickup doesn't do so well on the track.

Sure, but I want a Porsche. I've thought about just getting an NC like Chris and modifying it similarly, and may still do it. Time will tell. I have lots of time to think about it. The idea of having a track car that's as quick as an S2000 around a course while having significantly lower running costs is very tempting.
A Boxster S/Cayman S or even a 997S is very tempting, though. I only track once or twice a year (when I had my S2000) but if I got more involved, a Miata actually makes a ton of sense. I can tow it to and from the track now, since I have a truck, and still use it daily if I want.
