nail=new tire; another nail=plugged tire
This is frustrating. I just changed my rear tire (new) last month due to a nail and another nail on new tire last week!
(why it never happens to the front tire?) My bike is only 5 months old.
This time, for a temporary fix,
I plugged the rear tire and I've been riding mostly to local gym which I hit 40mph max. How long can I hold until I can tell my wife that I need another tire? (a month will be enough)
Is anyone riding with a plugged tire?

I've never patched. Not for any concrete reason other than peace of mind.
I get a new tire and sell the damaged tire to a guy that has zero issues with riding on a patched tire, and he mounts my new one for free. I'm still out money, but just not as much.

I rode on a plug for quite some time. I wouldn't do anything over 100 on it though.. And I didn't ride as aggresively through twisties... Btw, patches are a no go on tubeless tires. It's pretty much a plug or nothing at all, by the time you take the tire off you're better off just replacing it.

I have free access to an entire shop so taking a tire off is nothing. But if you only commute I wouldn't worry about it. What tires are you using that are picking up nails so easily?

This is kind I used. In fact there is one in my car tire right now. http://patchboy.com/mm5/merchant.mvc...tegory_Code=PA
I used this kind on my race tire (slick). Picked up bolt or something on track and had hole on brand new tire (3 laps). Plugged it and used that tire for couple more track days.
