Fapout,

How do you feel about the car in general now that you have had it a while? Favs and peeves?

And is your dash and seat bottoms really sun beaten or is that just artifact in the photos? Ahhh, nevermind. looks much better when blown up to full size.

One of BMW's better looking cars for sure. For me their best are: Z4, i8, and X6.

Dumb question, but how do cars like these get featured? From what I can tell (and read) it has a tune, exhaust, BOV, and some wheels.

That gets you a feature in a magazine? I'm not saying it's a bad looking car, but it really hasn't been touched.

It's a BMW exclusive magazine. They won't stray too far.

As mentioned, they don't want cars to be too radical but even then they still cover some of those. It still needs to be distinctly a BMW in appearance.

As far as mechanical mods go, here is the list:
ECU piggyback
Dual Intake
AR Design 3" Catless downpipes
Supersprint Exhaust
Stett FMIC
Stett charge pipe
Tial Blow off valve
Cooling mist methanol kit

Exterior mods:
BBS CF wheels
Black grilles
Badge removal
Window Tint
painted black reflector delete
8000k LED Halo lights
M-tech front and rear bumpers (already came with the car though)

But for a car that barely has an aftermarket because BMW sells less than 1,000 Z4 units per year in NA, that's quite the variety of mods.

Yeah. I've had it for about a year now. I really enjoy it. I still get the "what kind of car is that?" and kids take pictures by it so that's kind of cool. As far as performance goes, you can buy one of these cars with higher mileage for under 30k and mod it to run 11s for around $3k. To me, that's a win. Rare and quick for $30k. It's tough to beat.

It's a nice looking car. How much power do you suspect it's making?
