I had an Accord 6MT, the shifter was not S2000 like but was still excellent and par for a Honda. I observed 25 mpg combined, as bad as 14 mpg, and as good as 37 mpg.

I enjoyed my V6 6spd Accord and would highly recommend it as a DD.

Fred Beans in Doylestown had a great deal on a '05 Red Coupe...I did a quick search, I think it FINALLY sold. I see you are local to me in NJ/PA

Sorry to threadjack, I don't have experience with Mazda6 and no comment towards it. Just wanted to give another plug for the Accord.

Good luck in your search.

thanks for the tips, ya i closed the deal on the mazda6. Picking it up tonight after class. White w/ beige leather 50k miles. Power everything heated seats, Blue tooth (aftermarket), Remote start (aftermarket), alarm, 5spd V6. No mods

Im happy about it! Feels peppy down low and picks up from there.

Ya i posted that FS thread in DEL VAL with the Toneau cover, spoon strut bar, and Ap1 center console. I've been too lazy to post in classifieds lol

My girlfriend has an 06 mazda 6 v6 auto and she only had problems with the tranny when she first got it. Now its up to about 50K and still runs pretty good. It rides reallllly good on the highway. I think you made a good choice.

LOL, if it was a SPEED6 I would have bought it already, like 3 minutes after seeing it. Its a V6 mazda6s.
Yeah, I guess that makes more sense. Seemed like a killer price, but I've never shopped for a mazda.

I should learn to read.

Ya i wasn't going to get an auto mazda, i figuered that a stick would be less to deal with.

no worries the speed6 is a turbo 4 with AWD if im not mistaken!

im interested on hearing why the mazdaspeed3 seems more popular than the 6?

Correct me if im wrong but they share the same engine, but AWD>FWD anyday.

Unless there is a big weight difference i don't see how the 3 is favored?
