My new car
Well new to me anyway. It's not officially mine just yet, but I did win the ebay auction. The car is in TX and i'm in CA so there are some things I need to take care of, but for all intents and purposes it's mine.
Pretty excited. I have wanted one for a long time and just never pulled the trigger. The original owner is a member on this board: CarDude.
I don't have any high quality pictures of it and I haven't taken possession of it yet, but my friend and I will be flying out in week and half or so to drive it back. We are going to be in boston for a meeting, fly through austin pick it up and then drive it back. That should take 3 days. It's getting ridiculous how many times I have now driven from TX -> CA or TX -> OR or vice versa. This has to be the 5th or 6th time now! haha
I will be taking more pictures and posting updates of the roadtrip as it unfolds. Hopefully we make it back in one piece and don't end up in jail!

You need to highlight the road trip back with photos, MPG averages, how many people wreck staring at your car.
Can the car go through fast food drive thrus and can you eat in the car? haha

Thanks. I've been 'trying' to buy a viper since 2003 or so and just never could get everything lined up. But, this was great scenario, awesome previous owner, i wanted a 2008, it's the colors of my alma mater(), and it's the beginning of the end of the original viper. i'm pretty excited right now and am sure I will be more excited when I pick it up in a few days.

Congrats; fantastic car. Enjoy it! I wonder if Law Enforcement pays any special attention to the car...

Me too. I looked at the s2000 when I bought it as kind of mini viper to be honest. it was RWD, no nannies, etc. I am looking forward to getting back to some RWD, manual transmission, no nannies driving. I missed that about my s2000 when I went to the evo. Then I smashed the evo, maybe i secretly hated it..not sure!
