Honestly, if I saw a company advertise with a Hummer H2, I would not respect it. I understand it wants to have presence, but any car with plastered advertisement gets attention the same way. Like you said, even VW Beetles and vans gets people to look. Now with the Hummer, it'll just be more negative.

It's not diesel...it was in SC...and they just have green caps on the hoses...odd.
Now there's something I can understand hating. I've got three diesel's and I hate green handles on non-diesel pumps and non-green handles on diesel pumps. I end up looking like a fool sniffing the nozzle but I don't want to screw up and put gas in my oil burner.

I'm very suprised you can manage 12mpg. I drove one from STL to LA and I only averaged a little over 8mpg. When I was driving through parts I saw the instant MPG gauge read 0-1 going up the hills.

I would like to know as to who all is in charge of the promotional events.

Please PM me as I think I know who is but want to make sure.

I have some concerns as to what could happen to an promotional coordinator personal.

The other things I've noticed is people cutting me off...as if it's purposely done. They'll cut in front of me and then make a turn with no signal...it's happened twice now... Once by a Toyota Sequoia and then again this morning by a Saturn Aura. What gives?? I'm sorta anticipating it now and make sure I leave space for braking...but I don't throw up my hands...I don't blare the horn...I just keep on driving as if I slowed to avoid hitting a squirrel.
Carry around caltrops.

I envy H2 owners especially during the horrible snow storm.
Too bad it wasn't designed to go off-road

That's more of an extreme case of off-roading. For comparison http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0N7lXwfveM&NR=1

I know these these testings can be designed specifically to make one car look good and I am by no means defending the Hummer. I hate huge gas guzzling SUV's. I'm just saying...it's not THAT bad of an off-road vehicle.

Actually...I can't get it to show less than 12mpg...I'm seriously thinking GM has it set to show NO LESS than that. I just filled it up tonight for a trip in the morning... $106.00 and a 350 mile range.

this thread makes me laugh because my roommate has a h2 and people either love it and compliment it or they hate it, flick him off, talk crap or yell smart ass comments on how much gas he is wasting. They hate it so much they even started a group in the local craigslist rants and raves section about him and his hummer.

Almost all of those tests were just a testament to the hummers clearance more than it's capability. Not that that's not a factor, but some big burly wheels on the rover or the cherokee probably would've made them able to handle any of that stuff.
