Default which for my daily

Looking to add a daily. So far my front runner is the acura tsx. I have also always liked the mazda3 wagons. Looking to spend 10k, get 4 doors, and 30mpg. Nothing too old either. 2004+. This puts me at about 100k miles on these two cars, but i think they are both pretty reliable.

May end up selling the S, so this would could be my only car too.

Your experiences are appreciated.

Tough choice..

I owned a 2005 TSX for a little while (it not belongs to my father) and it was a great car. Drove very nicely, the interior was fantastic, headlights fantastic, stock stereo was very nice, and overall a very nice looking car.

I also owned a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 for a little while; the interior set up and majority of the car was very similar to a standard Mazda 3 hatch (just much faster, stiffer suspension, and minor aesthetic differences). It was a really nice car, and the interior was surprisingly nice. I also really liked having a hatch, really came in handy.

I had nothing major go wrong with either car. If I were to buy another one of the two, keeping my s2000, I'd probably buy the TSX, as it is a smoother/more luxurious ride. If I didn't have the s2000, I'd probably go for the Mazda, as it's a bit more sporty.

if you can handle the utterly disappointing gutless aspect of the TSX... go TSX. Love TSXs sans the lack of power.

The Mazda3 is shockingly fun to drive. And it is also cheaper and more practical than a TSX. So I would lean towards the Mazda. But definitely make sure you test drive both.

I will most likely trade in my S2000 now. Found a black on black TSX, with navigation, looks to be in good shape, clean autocheck. going to check it out today.

having owned one (mazda3), been in both, i think you would get more for your money, and space with the mazda3. also the hatches are already well equipped. only options really are nav / leather. MPG is probably the same.

if it may become your only car, i would go with TSX. more comfort, smooth gearbox (6 sp manual), overall a better car (unless you need the hatch)

Yeah the premium requirement is a bit of a turnoff especially since it a high performance car like the S2k
