Living in the Bay Area, there are many FOB Asians (and yes, they drive really badly). And they will only buy Honda/Toyota (outside the Merc/BMW). As a result, it is easy to find junkyard parts dealers carrying parts for Honda/Toyota for the cheap. My local mechanic hates to work on anything other than Toyota/Honda for this very reason, in getting cheap parts for his customers.

Honestly, a Camry is probably perfect for her. Reliable, quiet, fuel efficient, easy to maintain and a dime a dozen.

What you describe is a regional effect and may not be true for the op. It also assumes that the Fusion, which has been lauded for reliability, would need that kind of service.
