If you spend a lot of time in a DD (Toyota Rav4) it makes more sense to upgrade the DD instead of upgrading the fun car (s2000 to mustang).

I think if you purchased the wrx you will get to enjoy your purchase a lot more. I'm assuming that you have kids, so you can enjoy the wrx with your family... With the mustang you can cram your kids in the back and enjoy the car as well, but it's just not as user friendly, plus you will be stuck driving a boring DD while the stang sits at home. You can also use your WRX if you plan to take a winter trip to a weathered area, you cannot do that with the mustang.
Good thinking... the flaw with this is, the wrx is slower than the S in stock form. I don't know that I trust it with more boost, etc. to get it to be a quick car.

The incentives on the 16 in my area are crap. $500 back with 5% financing or something.

I saw some 15's on Autotrader a month ago for incredibly low pricing. Premium GT with nav and 401 package (blind spot, adaptive cruise etc) for like 34k. I figured they would stick around or get even better but can't find those deals anymore. Not as many 15's left over I guess.

That's a pretty good deal. I have an Xplan PIN. A 2016 GT premium with 400A package and Nav is $34,7xx for my zipcode.

I would go with the Mustang and the Rav in my opinion. Although having a fun DD would be nice my commute doesn't allow me to have any fun. I have a 2000 XJ and a '10 335i right now and I think its great. I have the Jeep which has all the space I need and I don't mind running through gravel or parking anywhere and the BMW as my fun car. If you got the WRX and S2k you would have 2 fun cars but you are losing utility with the WRX vs the RAV.
