Mileage on a sports bike
How long will the engine last?
Normally if a car goes over 100,000km, I would consider high mileage. What's consider high mileage on a bike?
Do you think say a 92 CBR can go over 50,000km(assuming regular oil change and proper maintenance)?
How far do you think a 2003 600RR can go? With today's newer tech and everything, these newer bikes should last longer.
I know there could be many factors involved...but well, just wanna hear some of your opinions. And anyone out there with a high mileage bike?

i got 50Kmiles on a 2000 gsxr750 it still started/ran but its hp was decreased from 130 to 100. if it were not a sportbike i doubt the rider would noitce the lower performance. cyc2&3 had lo compression and it was about $1000 to rebuild.

My buddy has a 97 TL1000 w/ 55K miles. Just had it dynoed at 120hp. Granted he has a full akrapovic and pcII. Also note it is a twin with a lower redline. I've got a 929 and have heard of people with over 80K miles on theirs and still no trouble, after all those are Hondas.

Modern inline sportbike engines are rated to 100000 miles just like car engines now. the valves need adjusted a little more often then a car engine, but they will last just as long if properly maintained. not babied, maintained. like our car engines, these engines were made and built to run in the higher RPM's. The reason why you don't see as many bikes out there with 60000 miles is because, especially sportbikes, the vast majority are wrecked and totaled long before they get there. it is just a common myth that modern sportbike engines are not made to last. if you don't wreck, they will take you just as long as your car.
