You do realize the S2000 is becoming a rice magnet, right? With S2000s now hitting the $12k range...I've seen several that are modded like mid 90's Civics... But nothing tasteful.
Don't fool yourself into thinking that our own cars...our beloved S2000s aren't viewed as "average."
When I look at the photos above...I'm not thinking of MSRPs or what the value is now...I look at the unique car culture for the brand...the enthusiasm for it and that's what gets me excited...that beats trend hi-end anyday of the week.
Some folks like to go and hang out with the Porsche crowd and/or BMW folks...ever notice the guys who own the OLDER cars are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler? They are often times "true enthusiasts." They've owned the car...they've done their own mods...they've experienced their car...yet they don't get the same respect because they paid their car off 5 years ago?? C'mon, I love a brand new M3...but I'd have MORE respect for the guy who bought an M3 back in '92 or '00. Someone who has worked to maintain the car...
I dunno...I find myself rambling here...but truth is, I appreciate pictures like the ones above...shows true enthusiasm! Thanks again!
