I like some VW's... especially old air cooled (i have had 1 Thing and 4 bugs). I should have bought a super mint Notchback this past spring but for some reason I did not.

that Scirroco is very nice!!!!

I simply MUST know the camera you're using...
All you'd have to do is save one of the pics and click on its properties. He was using a Nikon D40, a pretty nice DSLR camera.

Definitely interesting, always nice to see other gearheads get their freak on. I htink the one with the exposed bondo (could've at least use the yellow kind) was still saving for paint since it looks like he molded in that bumper or something, but just couldnt get it painted before the meet.
Don't mind the $2000 rims on a $1000 car, provided that the $1000 car is in tip top running shape, clean, etc. What I dont liek are the cars that are on its last leg, all beat up, obviously fresh off the salvage yard auction block, and has expired tags.

Sorry. When I first glanced at the thread I thought it said Midwest Dumbfest.

Close enough.

To misquote ole' Jimmy Dohan:

"...and if my grandma had Dubs, she'd be a wagon!"

Of course, I always enjoy seeing $2000 worth of wheels on $1000 cars. That is why I get a kick out of "Pimp My Ride" as well!

+1. I thought it said dumbfest as well. In fact, I didn't realize it wasn't saying dumbfest until I read your post, and just thought the thread title was intending to say dumbfest given all the fugly rices in the pictures.

i live about 20 min from waterfest and did not go this year...sorry, when a car meet necessitates a swat team response in my town because people threaten to kill cops, there is a problem with the fan base...especially some of the newer (1999 - 2004) cars
