Mid 90's Jeep Cherokee 4x4 or Bronco?
Trying to decide one what to go with for the winter. Gonna buy an older cheap 4x4 suv for the winter. Was thinking for sure a Jeep cherokee since I used to have an '01 4.0 4x4 cherokee.
Also recently looked at some of the Mid 90's Bronco's.
I would probably be doing a small lift on either one with some bigger tires and all.
Any suggestions from personal experience or knowledge?
I am only spending probably 1500 or so on one so no crazy cars.

I had a 1990 S10 Blazer 4x4 that for some reason I really liked. I think it was the 'junkability' factor - being able to throw crap in it, sit on it, whatever and not really care that made it so good. The 4.3L felt pretty strong too and wasn't too bad on gas.
It was my DD in HS while I worked on my Z.

I have no experience with either, but for some strange odd reason Ive been really wanting a Bronco. Way more Jeeps then Broncos, but that may or may not be a good thing. Good luck with either!

yeah I am leaning towards the Jeep cherokee. used to have an 01 cherokee sport and loved it.
I'm thinking of getting the newest/cleanest looking one rather than just lower miles. Seems the engines run forever really.
I just love the way the Jeep looks and out of all the older suv's looks the newest I think and least junker like.
I am planning to do a small lift and some 31-33" tires or so and call it a day.

I had a 92 Ford Bronco with the 351V8. I loved that thing. I heavily wheeled it and and abused it bad. It just started having issues with the cooling system and normal wear and tear. You can fit 32's stock. The rear shell comes off also, you just have to get lap belts for your rear passengers since the shoulder straps bolt into the shell. It only has two doors so as long as you don't mind rolling the seat forward it should be a good vehicle for what you need. My wife wanted a 4 door 4x4 so I picked up a landcruiser.
