An interesting idea is the geographiocal location. A while ago I came upon an article comparing the history of american vs japanese cars taking into consideration the target audiences/locations to be driven. Car/racing appeal is more of a science than "NASCAR is boring, they drive in circles!" or "I don't want any of them turbo 4 cylindars, I'll take mah v8 thank you very much"

its been established a while ago that the sky he was talking about was the skyline aka G35 state side
