I sat in a Miata with a Hard Dog Double Diagonal. My head could hit the bar if I looked up at a traffic light. I wouldn't want something like that in a Miata I was driving on the road.

Actually, the soft-top frame on a S2000 looms close when the top is up, hard-top or no.

As for the S2000, I rolled my first one after hitting debris dropped from the back of a pickup on the highway. The car held up amazingly well. The top was up but it crushed down to the hoops and the windshield frame held stong in the corners. After hitting the ditch on the side of the road and flipping a few times, I ended up on the roof. I simply caught my bearings, unbuckled, held on the steering wheel to flip myself around, and exited the car. My old post must be on here somewhere from the accident. If anyone wants any pics, let me know.
