Default Mercedes new C Class

I'm surprised no one's talking about the new C class from MB - It looks to be a great car, and the sytling is great imo. MB really went from slepy to sharp with the latest redesign.

Yup, looks like a very good car, especially this one:

At $65k it's good competition to the M3

it does look a lot better than the current c-class design imo.

They really did wimp out on the engine, the carry-over engine. Nissan/Infiniti/Lexus/BMW/Acura/Cadillac etc.. have V6s (or I6) with 300hp.

Guess it's the same deal wait a year for the better version.

That's why you get the C63 with a 450hp 6.2L V8.

yes, but between 263hp and 450hp is a big void (which BMW has proven winner).

I like the CLS design influences on the side and ? S-class front.

I like it also, but no MT except with the 3.0L (was only a 5% take rate with the previous gen 3.5L and MT).

Over-all it's nice looking, maybe better looking than the 3-series but probably I would prefer the 3-series as more of a drivers car.

Eh. I think it looks OK. It could have been much prettier, IMO. I remember seeing computer-generated, concept-type sketches a while back speculating as to what the new C may look like, and they all looked much better. I, particularly, don't like how the hood wraps over the quarter panels to creat that extra seam running along the front side, making the hood look totally separate from the rest of the car (and having the grille no longer part of the hood only emphasizes this). The interior also strikes me as cold. If I were in the market for a Benz sedan, I'd dig around in my couch cushions (and probably in the neighbors' couch cushions too) to find the extra coin for an E350, which is, IMO, a classically beautiful Benz, inside and out.

The inside of the current E is gorgeous. Soft Leather everywhere.
