Mercedes Maybach production debut pics
July 10, 2002 - Four months after its comeback at the Geneva Motor Show, the luxury car brand Maybach has presented it's new high-end automobile to the public in New York. The new luxury car was shipped across the Atlantic in a glass crate aboard the Queen Elizabeth II and then unloaded by helicopter, to be shown at a hotel near the New York Stock Exchange. Designed to compete against Rolls-Royce and Bentley, DaimlerChrysler plans to build 1,000 units annually at a plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.

KEWL. The funny thing is that it's supposed to be a limo....sign me up to be a chauffer...and when the owner is away i'll climb into those reclining back seats with telescoping footrests!

The McLaren/Mercedes SLR will be produced at the end of this year allready - long known fact!
The Maybach has already been ordered by around 600 people, three of them were passengers on the QE II on which it was shipped to NY.
An LS 430 is by far no match for the most luxurious and refined vehicle in the world, it will be build for around 7 years. The Maybach Manufaktur will not change the car during this period (including facelifts).
sorry i wrote a bit confusing/excuse my english..
