Well, to each his own. There are undoubtedly people who think the s2000 is too loud, requires too much shifting to keep it in the powerband, etc...but that's precisely what I like about my car
Anyhow, my problem with these german uber cars is that they're too high tech. If you've ever sat in the latest mb s class, for example, it'll take you a couple minutes just to figure out how to turn down the volume on the radio. Or take any of the new BMWs...why do they have an electronic turn signal instead of a traditional one? The electronic one is more difficult to modulate and has no advantages over a traditional one. This over-engineering does nothing but make the car more complicated. Having 500+ horsepower is cool, but if the car is full of high tech gadgets that make the driving experience less involving, and a curb weight that would go head to head with an SUV, it's just not as much fun. But yes, I understand, this is exactly what some people want

That's gorgeous. And yes people buying that car can careless about weight (and I agree with them). If i wanted a light weight sportscar, I'd get one (I have an s2000 afterall). If i wanted a powerful luxury coupe gt, i'd consider the CL AMG. Power's not everything in a car. And with the same respect, weight isnt everything either. There's a lot more to a car than how fast you can go.

CL and CLS are officially some of the ugliest cars on the road
I thought a few publications and websites (as official as you can get) recently named the CLS one of the top ten best looking cars to come out. Some art circles mentioned the same thing. Is this official enough for you?
You know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all have our opinions meaning your opinion is only part of it.

I'm sure there is a market for these cars. I just wish they had a manual as an option or a SMG style tranny as an option.
Btw, if you really like the car - wait 3 years - you can get it for $40k.
