MDX drivers leg room.?

MDX drivers leg room.?
We just got a 2003 mdx and went on our first trip today..... 240 miles round trip. 
I don't have anywhere to put my feet though. I am 5'11" with a normal 32-33 inseam... i put the seat all the way back and my arms don't reach the steering wheel, so up an inch or two and my legs are all jammed up underneath. Plus my left foot seems to be on the flat spot where the psuedo dead pedal is, but also on the carpet (not the floormat).
Seems like for such a big truck it would have more leg space, or a telscoping steering wheel. I did get 20.0 mpg on the way home at about 75mph.
