The 996 Turbo is "cushy"? Heh, hardly.
"Cushy" was in reference to the Mercedes, not the Porsche. I agree that the 911 Turbo's one of the best all-around cars out there, but in this scenario, I'd skip it regardless. If I already had a nice four-door, I'd want to err farther down the uncompromising end of the scale for my second, toy car.

- now has a cushy four door and a sports car

Yes -- if only given the choice of those two cars, I'd definitely go for the 911. But enough about me.

It says something that more than a couple folks on this board have S2000's AND 911 turbos. They really are yin and yang -- and both excellent vehicles.

"Cushy" was in reference to the Mercedes
Sorry for the misinterpretation.

Only thing I hate about the SL55 is the "slushbox". I wish the would offer an SMG or 6 spd manual.

I like the 996TT, but not as much as the older Porsches. Its a beautiful car, but I agree, too disconnected...to much "stuff"

Myself, my s2000 lease is up in 2 years, and I have made up my mind on my next car, and what I think it to be one of the purest and best sports cars ever produced....

So to me, it would be neither. It would be one of these, for about 90K (very low miles) and about 30 to make it look and perform.
