mazdaspeed 3

Well the previous Mazdaspeed Protege was known to be quite the handler and the 3 has a good reputation in doing the same. Neon SRT4s sold like wildfire, this car might do the same.

Wasn't there an article mentioning all the electronic "nannies" this car has to manage the torque steer and other imbalances that come from such a powerful fwd car?

yeah this is the article. the writer states that to control torque steer they use "a complicated system to some might distrust, until the very first time they go for a drive." i'd like to take it for a spin myself and see but i'm not sure if i could get these preventative measures to kick in during a test drive.

Sounds like a promising car especially since Mazdaspeed cars tend to be what God intended those models to be like in the first place; I remember looking at Mazdapseed Miatas, although I'm glad I went with the S2000... not so much to the reason that the S2000 is a better car, but the reason I'd go with the Miata in the first place was to have a turbo again, but with the Solstice GXP on the horizon... yeah.
