Mazda paying people to test drive RX-8
#11
232 hp, I think. That's still overrated, but it's within their range for drivetrain losses (overexaggerated drivetrain losses, naturally).
Most people agree the car is making more like 220hp at the crank (give or take a bit).

Towards Mazda parts or service, I'll bet.

It's a Super Certifiate from giftcertificates.com that you can redeem for tons of different retailers including amazon.com, Gap, crutchfield, american airlines, Saks, and my favorite, Jiffy Lube.
The dealer by my house probably has at least ten RX-8's sitting out front so I doubt they'll give me much trouble test driving one since I have this certificate.

This must be the in marketing thing.
I got a mailing, offering me a $50 gift certificate to Patagonia to drive a VW Toureg.
The drive was ok (I am no SUV fan).
They did have an RS6 waiting to be delivered that I liked that a lot more.

I drove this car and did not like it at all. The car was not FUN TO DRIVE like my S2000. I did not get that big GRIN I get in my S2000. I don't think there are many cars you can drive after a S2000 that will give you that same feel. I appreicate my S even more.
