Go to the forum @ www.leasecompare.com to learn more about leasing and how you calculate lease payment. Looking at Honda's lease terms:

1.) The money factor (interest) is really really attractive: .00035
2.) Dealer is basically giving you a $1,690 discount off MSRP.
3.) Lease Acq. fee is $595.

Let say you negotiate the car down to invoice, your monthly lease pymt for a 36 months/36,000 miles lease is around $364.37 with nothing down. Drive off at signing should only be 1st month pymt of $364,37 + tax, DMV title license Reg (should be no more than $300), Acq. fee of $595 (see if you can get them to waive this), and any dealer doc fee (probably 45 bucks).

Can't really compare to previous yrs' lease offer - MSRP is different. But it's a decent deal if you can get it @ invoice.

FEATURED SPECIAL LEASE: Closed-end lease for 2008 S2000 Manual Transmission (Model AP2148ENW) for $349.00 per month for 36 months with a $1,555.00 capitalized cost reduction available to customers who qualify for the AHFC Super Preferred credit tier. Other rates/tiers are available under this offer. $2,499.00 total due at lease signing (includes first month's payment, AHFC upfront acquisition fee and capitalized cost reduction with no security deposit. Total net capitalized cost and base monthly payment does not include tax, license, title, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance and the like). Not all buyers may qualify.

what does the bolded part mean? does this mean AHFC will provided $1555 (ie reducing the price $1555, or paying $1555 of the $2499 of the initial payment)?
no, it means that $1,555 of the $2,499 you're putting down at lease signing is going towards the balance on the lease. It's a down payment - except when leasing they call it "capitalized cost reduction".
