Default M3 vs. S2000

I know this an S forum and We are all patial to an S, but I found a good deal on a 2003 M3 coupe with less than 5k miles on it for the same price of an my03 S. I know the MY04 S is due out and am considering it as well. Should I get the M3 or wait and see the 04 S????

I would get the M3. For the same price that sounds like a hell of a deal. Make sure it hasn't been in any accidents though. This sounds like too good of a deal to be true. The MY 04' S2000 will only have 10 lb.ft of torque more, and the same hp. It does get 18" tires, and a slightly revised interior, but the M3 already has the 18", and a very nice interior.

The s2k gets 17s, and someone is either selling you a MY03 S2k for 45k at LEAST, or you are about to steal an M3 from someone who thinks its really a 325.

Either way.....dayum.

Hmmm....I'm guessing there's a story to go w/ a new M3 for ~$30K. Buyer beware!

Sorry guys....I do not agree...they are different cars.....

You CANNOT compare them to each other. One is a roadster and one is a GT car in my eyes.

s2000 more fun
M3 - faster
s2000 convertible
M3 hardtop...convertible cant handle
s2000 - go kart on steroids
M3- luxury

All about what you need and like...we cannot help you with this issue without telling you what WE want. My good friend has an M3, and although its a wonderful car, its just not as fun, and I would not trade my S for anything else....I could have gotten an M3, but the S has something that no other car did for me....

2003 M3 for the same price as a 2003 S2000??

There's something that you or the seller isn't saying.

This has seriously been talked to death... there are many S2000 people who have went on to become E46 M3 owners, myself included.

s2000 vs m3 threads:

oh and a e46 M3 the same price as an 03 S2000? something sounds fishy.
