I ran into one on I-5, I had a passenger and was signaling the C5 to slow down... he didn't want to run. I know it would be close from a roll, guess what though... I guarantee I'll stab on the C5 from a stop.

I'm gonna hunt one down. I drive hard. . .

If the driver is competent, then a 3.15 geared auto C5 or a 6-speed manual C5 should be able to outrun an M3.

hehe over the weekend i just ran w a c5 on the hwy. c5 will slowly pull away from a m3 anyday. its lighter. more HP. better aero

Wondering what's the top speeds? I think the C5 (non-Z06) has a higher top speed than the C5 Z06 due to the areo or the gearing...

I'd say the C5 has it all over the M3 for acceleration and top speed.

Officially, the C5 six-speed is 175mph and the Z06 is 171mph due to gearing and rev limiter. Of course, the Z06 will get to 171mph pretty fast.
