Like someone else said, amateur job.

A pro would know it's not possible to steal an M3 like that without the chip inside the remote key nearby. He would've needed to tow the car to steal it.

I love your house. What's the value on something that size in NJ? It'd be worth @ least $2 million in Orange County.

re-read his post, then do the math on your own. Anyone ever tell you it is rude to ask what things cost, especially in public?

...I didn't see anything regarding this home in the original post. Also, aren't we always asking how much your exhaust costs, or how much your rims costs on the forum? Plenty of rude peeps here.

Sadly, it's pretty common (at least here in Jersey). I worked at a body shop that did mostly BMW's and there was always at least one M3, M5, 7series, or 6 series in the with the lock pulled out. It looks like whoever did that really didn't know what they were doing (most of the ones I saw the lock cylander was ripped out). While it does suck, a least you know if they did get in they'd have a hell of a time getting it started.

same thing happened to mine (in jersey of all places too).

i have those lock caps that another person was referring to ....the one without the keyholes.

they got in, rummaged around and left.....i understand that it's pretty hard to steal an M3 outright.

I would think any car like the M3 would have high break in potential:

1) Joy ridders
2) Parts for generic 3 series cars.

Not in the way a Civic and Accord gets stolen for pure volume of sells and need for standard parts.
