I'd like that M3 convertible. It might sway me from a 911 convertible. I do agree that those mickey mouse ears tail light clusters need to GO!

That's a shame. I'd much rather drive an M3 estate than an X3 or X5 but I guess I must be in the minority because I recently read that even Mercedes has changed their plans and won't be offering a C class wagon in the states. Americans prefer SUV's.

I'm still not sold on the looks of the new M3 but I think the 4 door actually looks better. If you could get a 4 door without the stupid I drive, I might even consider that car.

[QUOTE=derryck,Sep 27 2007, 08:06 AM]
The brief run of E36 M3 sedans is still highly coveted and many including myself would have preferred an E46 M3 sedan even though the E46 coupe is a much better looking car. I'm perfectly happy with my 335 sedan and no longer have an interest for a E90 M3 but a 4 door is much more practical for many without having to 'sacrifice' with a non-M car.

[QUOTE]Where's the wagon? That'd be my pick of the lot,

Coupes are useless to me, if it has 2 doors it better have 2 seats. I say this after owning a coupe for years, and being single. Even on the very rare occasions when I have people in the back, it is such a PITA to get them in and out.

Plus I happen the thing the E92 is a dud in the looks department. Something in the middle of the car towards the rear wheel wells looks dumpy to me.

^ Yup. But, if you're getting 4 doors and 4 seats, why not get the added functionality of a wagon (and drive something a bit different in the process)? I also think, generally, the wagon is the best looking body style of a given model range: current A4 and A6, E class, 5 series, V70, etc.

wagons are so much more user friendly as well over SUV's. I wish there wasn't the anti-wagon stigma in the States it would open the doors to so many uber cool wagons.

I agree 100%...a wagon offers most of the space of an SUV/SAV with better handling fuel economy and it's generally more comfortable. BMW offers a 535i touring in the US but only a 328i touring...we're getting hosed.
