Luxury Convertible
If you would have to make a choice between M3Conv and 911Conv which one would you get? I really like convertibles, It would be nice to have two extra seats in the back and some luxury.
My thoughts:
911 conv is more expensive to own and maintain, but it's more of a car. M3conv is cheaper to own and maintain, it's not that unique, but for the price it has similar performance. Basically what do you guys think, is the extra $10000-20000 worthed for the Porsche?
Matt.
P.S.: I'm starting a new job tomorrow, and has a good potential.

I don't really get the idea of "luxury convertible" to me having a daily driver convertible is a pain in the ass. That's why I got a hard top for my S2000.
The convertible M3 is a very compromised car. I think the regular M3 is a bit heavy. The convertible M3 weighs 3800 lbs and gets 16 mpg city (at best). It weighs 1600lbs more than the MR-2 spider.
Sounds like you may spend $50-70K on a vert. For the same money you can get a M3(non-vert) and a Miata/MR-2/S2000.
Believe me if you like spirited driving, less weight of the smaller 2 seat converts make up for their lack of power.
But if you ask me what do I like better M3 or 911 vert? I'll say the 911 because it will weigh 500 lbs less than the M3.
