Yes, there are a lot of cars that have come out that are a lot more refined. There is a lot more comfort and a lot more finesse with many of the new cars. The S is not the most practical, the most comfortable, the most powerful, or the fastest car of its kind. What it is however, is a nice piece of technological achievement that offers a raw, well-balanced, bare-bones, fun drive. Like its predecessor sports cars, cars came out that surpassed what was once considered a pinnacle of performance. That doesn't change the amount that I enjoy or appreciate how much I love to drive it.

Thank you, Mark! For all the bitching about it being old, nobody has provided a link showing where it's previously been posted in this forum.

JC's changing perspective is prob. as much attributable to his aging/changing tastes as it is the market shifting.

I'd certainly rather have an Evora, but there's more than a slight price differential there!

I thought it was a nice review. He puts the S2000 and the Elise in the same boat. I'll have to keep the Evora on the list of cars to drive. It sure does look nice!
