Lotus Elise...I ordered it!!
I just confirmation today that I am number uno for a 2005 Lotus Elise 111S!!!!
I just have to wait 12 months!!!!!!
Just thought I would share. It is going to replace the S2000. I ordered a yellow one with the only option they are giving at the time.....a hardtop for the targa.

I doubt the car will be called the 111S when it arrives....
You also didn't order it (since no "orders" are being taken - you are first to place a deposit on the car - how much was your deposit?

you are right. I put a deposit on it and told them the color I wanted.
$500 was the deposit.
They are also only importing an estimated 2400 next year.

Thats awsome! I used to work with a lotus dealership for awhile and those are some amazing little cars. Do you mind if I ask how much $$ they are going to cost?

$38,500 is what I have been told. I called about 5 dealerships and it stayed pretty much the same.
The options keep changing though.
the latest is the hardtop and something with the wheels (maybe suspension)

I also find it hard to believe that you are #1 - some dealers have 20+ lists already.
Good luck on the wait! They are great cars, but not for everyday. If you are getting it for a weekend car or track car you will have lots of fun with it.

Lotus Elise would be #1 on my list if it stays under 40K, incredible car, very much a barebones car, but just a small sacrifice when driving an Elise! I wish they came north of the border
