Looking for a daily driver under $10k

Well I wouldn't necessarily drive one as a second car, but I recently drove in a Kia (dunno the model) and my coworker said he bought it for $6500 NEW and has put 70K miles on it with no probs. He's got another 30K to go before his warranty expires and the car drove and looked 8/10ths brand new.
Something to consider anyways.

If you are considering a Tacoma, I would strongly suggest you also look at Rangers. I found that used Rangers seemed to be better values. Basically when I was looking it was a 7 year old Toyota with 110,000 miles or a 4-5 year old Ranger with 60,000 miles for the same money ....

A few years ago I was looking for a vehicle similar to what you want. I wanted a daily driver that had reliability, an automatic, four doors, trunk space, gas efficient, and attractive looks. I used consumer reports to find my vehicle and decided upon the '00 G20. I have had no problems with the vehicle in the 2 years that I have owned it. Also, like with the S, I don't see myself coming and going in this car. Good luck with your choice.

is a 3door hatch seats 4, id it by its 8spoke gray paint 13" 4lug cast rims, no steel wheels for this but the interror is only functional. no power windows etc. it has a 102hp vtec-e engine, the engine code b15z1 is stamped passenger side front of the engine. the car keeps up in trafic but no hope of any performance here other than echonomy. dont plan to feel the vtec turn on and other than the engie code there is no identification the engine is vtec-e. i dont think edmunds.com is an easy to use site for research but it has the 92-95 civic infor there.

odd that honda has so many offerings in 92-95 years but the cx is close to the vx, lower hp and gas milage. it has a none vtec engine. steel rims. you see more cx cars for whatever reason.
i think there was a dx and or si hatch version those years 92-95, verify with edmunds.com or autotrader.com (they have model info on a tab for some listed cars) overall honda had 7-8 civic versions. dont discount the del sol, they had a small performance vtec engine and get good gas milage, this car would be a good s2000 replacement for sure.

I really love the looks of 93 hatches, but they're kinda expensive.
I was looking to spend 2000 on a car, but most hatches are in 3000 range.
Also, would these cars really last longer if I pay 2 grand for one?
