Default Looking for a daily driver under $10k

I'd like to stay under $10k, and this isn't necessarily a daily driver, but something to complement the s2000.

ideally, this would be either a wagon, hatchback, sedan, SUV, or truck. automatic is prefered over manual. reliability is necessary, as i do not want to spend much more money on this car, and something comfortable (for longer trips) would be nice... please share thoughts and opinions...

TIA

I'm very happy with my under $10k beater:

No auto though...at least not in SVT trim...and then, what's the point?

Anyway, before everyone else says it: Accord/Camry

SVT would be great.
More practical yet quite cost effective would be a SAAB 900/93. Very comfortable, great seats, good amenities, reasonable for 4 and that hatch is huge! Stock handling is Ok but not overly sporty. I've heard you can really improve them. I don't really care for the lazy feeling throttle on the 900 (not actually slow but a combination of a relatively small 2L, with long gearing and some turbo lag all mixed together). The 900s give good performance on regular gas (I think the 93 ask for premium but can run on regular). Finally, SAABs have poor resale. That sucks for SAAB dealers and the original owners but it's good for you. A '99 Civic costs about the same as a '99 93 (same mileage and condition). The SAAB is a much nicer car. Anyway, that's my off the cuff suggestion.

Used Accord or Camry. Enough said.

Infinity G20
Decently appointed, plenty of seating and storage space, SR20 engine, 26-30 mpg

Cant go wrong with anything with a Toyota or Honda badge on it.

Find one that you like for the price and go shopping!

I would go with a used Toyota Tacoma. It has utility and can offer some offroading fun or all weather driving. I don't know if you might have to bump your limit to get the TRD 4-wheel drive, extended cab model but it would probably be worth it.

I have the '02 Si, and I'll second that. It's a fun little car. There are some negative reviews out there, but for a DD it's absolutely near perfect. It's got great room, nimble handling, enough power and is reliable. Have 60K on mine - you can get one easy probably for less then 10K at this point.
