IMHO, this attitude is kind of silly. If you drive 20,000 miles a year, the difference in what you'd pay for gas is ~$600 at $3/gallon. At $4/gallon, it's ~$1000. The difference in the price of a used STI vs. a new Si is greater than that. So if paying thousands more for the STI doesn't bother you, why does paying a little bit extra for the gas to drive it?

I think gas will be over $5 dollars in some spots this summer, with the possibility of $7-8 dollar/gallon gas across the nation with any hiccups (Terrorism, war with Iran, etc.)
