I live in two places:

San Ramon, CA - $4.00 for premiun
Costa Rica - $5.35 for premium

& No.
I won't complain about paying $3.19 for premo again anytime soon.

If a $100 or so of increased gas cost per month really makes that big of a difference to people, then I would recommend not driving an S2000 or some other 'relatively' expensive car.

It cracks me up every year when gas prices jump a buck or more per gallon and people start flipping out. It's called PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. It's your friend.

I find it funny this article was mentioned.

That article is the reason why I'm looking to get rid of the RX-8 and look into an S2000 as an alternative (hence my lurking/posting here). I was originally looking into a Mazdaspeed3, now focused towards an S2000.

I even did some math and wrote this up last week.

RX-8 = 16mpg
S2000 = 24mpg

13k miles/yr

1083 mile/mo

68 gallon per month = RX-8
45 gallons per month = S2000
23 gallon per month difference

$3/gal
RX-8 = $204/mo
S2000 = $135/mo

$3.5/gal
RX-8 = $238/mo
S2000 = $157.5/mo

$4/gal
RX-8 = $272/mo
S2000 = $180/mo

Difference in monthly gas.
$69 @ $3/gal
$80.5 @ $3.50/gal
$92 @ $4/gal

I don't pay too much attention but I know it's over $3 a gallon for the good stuff and it's not even summer yet. I live in FL so I expect gas prices to spike over the next month or so.

I'm sorry, has the price of gas gone up? I hadn't noticed.

This guy has probably noticed though.

I don't even look at gas prices anymore.
Price doesn't matter, when the car is empty, it needs filled.
Yep thats my take on it also.
