it always surprises me you don't see more lingenfelter vettes around. maybe just not in my area. Seems like a pretty good deal; 800hp for "only" $45,000, but it is warranted and goes 225+....

The car should handle as well or better than a stock 'Vette. I'm pretty sure it'd beat a 360 Modena around most racetracks.
And you'd still be hard pressed to get a 360 Modena for $115K (price of a Z06 + $45K).

I'm speechless.
That time not only beats the previous 211 MPH test from 2006, but it beats all of the entrants into Road and Track's similar test back in September 2005. The car that one that test was a 1000hp Henessey Viper. That this C6 Z06 TT Vette is beating that car by over 16 MPH, and the previous record holder by over 15 MPH is a real testament to how well engineered the thing is off the factory floor, with street tires.
This result is more than impressive; it's perverse for a car with only engine modifications.

Yeah, it can do that in a straight line, but let's see it do that while turning. Plus , the interior plastic sucks to look at.
Um... go find me a car that CAN turn doing 226 MPH. Corvette handling (especially the Z06) is actually pretty damn good.
I'm really tired of the "interior sucks" comments about the C6. I agree the C5 was pretty cheesy, but they really did a lot of work improving things. At any rate, we drive a car with a plastic glovebox crammed between the seats, a plastic door over our radio (that sticks out and pokes you in the knee), and a pleather shift boot. You can knit-pick anything.

Either you're being sarcastic and I'm not getting it, or you have no valid reason to hate on the thing, so you're just going to for hate's sake.

250 mph turns, actually. I've done it. In 2nd gear. On bald tires. One handed. At night. Top down.

Yesterday.
