I would hope so!!! I know it doesn't have the AWD but the mazdaspeed sport usually comes in around 25k with equalish hp.

Good-looking car. Love the interior and general stance. Just not sure I'd grab this over a 5.0 Mustang or a Subie STi or Mitsu Evo X for similar money.

The thing about the VW is that it LOOKS better than just about any of the others (to my eye), plus it has a really nice interior. So, from a comfort and fit/finish standard, it should whomp on anything else in that category. It's just not going to have the speed of the others.

So why would someone choose this over say the more powerful and better performing WRX STI hatch for the same price, or the regular WRX hatch for $8500 less?
