Life's RUF!

Technically, RUF is not a tuner, he builds complete cars. they are never given porsche VIN numbers, they are actually licensed as RUF vehicles with RUF serial numbers and VIN's. in the same way, Steve Saleen makes what everyone calls "Saleen mustangs", which in fact are not mustangs according to their VIN's; they are S289's, S351's, Etc. So, Both Saleen and RUF are wholly separate carmakers. I am ever so grafeful for this fact, too, because it enabled the designers at Polyphony digital to squeeze"porsche" into the Gran Turismo series, as "RUFs."
That said, the RUF line of vehicles is astonishing, in their fit, finish, and perceived quality. I sat in a 3400S (a boxster with 911 suspension bits, some body mods, and a modified 3.4 litre 911 engine) and the difference between the materials used by Alois Ruf in the creation of this car versus a regular Boxster was surprising. anyways, the only engine I've heard with a sweeter sound than that Flat 6 was the F355 Ferrari's V8....to quote ferris bueller(which of coursenever happens. ) "If you have the means, I highly reccomend picking one up."
Amazing machines.
