I thought the launch control just limited the number of times you could use it in a period of time, not for the life of the car. If it's the life of the car then that's almost as lame as the first year GT-R, use it and you void it setup.
This is what I read as well.

Sooo... it goes 0-60 slower than a 911 Turbos S and GT-R?

* To protect the systems, the number of times that launch control can be used is limited. To check how many times launch control has been used on your vehicle, contact your Lexus dealer.
This seems pretty clear to me as a lifetime limit either before warranty is no longer valid or the system just plain won't let you use it anymore.

Thought this was pretty cool. Car looks decent in black! White, where the lines are more visible, not so much.

If only Tanner Foust read the manual. He could have really put a beating on Paul Tracy in the V-10 Audi in the 1 mile race!

Do you have instructions for keeping the rear wing down? Tanner blamed this tidbit for costing him the top speed contest.

(this episode was on last night... btw- the host of that show sucks!)

Aaaaahhh that's it- "Battle of the Supercars." It was only the second time I had seen the show aired. All I could think of was "Supercars Exposed."

I wonder about the limits on use of the control.
It seems to me that if they don't disclose how many times you can use it, then they are probably just trying to keep you from doing it at every stoplight. You can't void a warranty or deny a claim without telling the owner in writing what the line is that you have to cross (beforehand!).

As long as the limit isn't like 12 total uses on the life of the car, most people will probably never even get close, especially if they think there is a limit and don't know what it is. They'll do it a few times when the car is new (remember, no one actually drives these cars!) and show it to their friends, maybe a few peeps will actually drag it a few times...but overall I don't think you'll see these getting the royal beating that some GTR owners are laying on their cars.
