what are the massive scoops up by the rear side windows for? car isn't mid engined is it?

Somebody posted in the other LF-A thread that they duct air through some rear mounted coolers/radiators, then out the rear of the car.

the rear is very consistent with their prototypes seen in Detroit maybe 4-5 yrs ago. heh. I gotta dig up pix that I took.

It's not a "pretty car" for sure.
