it's def not a driver's car, more of a get-old-people-from-point-a-to-point-b car. my friend's dad has one, and both my friend and I have sc300s, and we both enjoy our 300's > his dad's 430, though the convertible part is pretty dang nice.
if looks/vip/whatever is what you want, it can be done and look pretty good.
my fave sc430:

whatever floats your boat. SC430 is nice weekend car I admit that + reliability. Two, of my friends recently bought SC430. They only complain about rear seats, but oh well... that doesn't matter because daily drive often. It's great platform for V.I.P that said.

That about sums it up for me.

Fine for a boulevard cruiser though, if the looks appeal to you. I guess those modded ones look ok, definitely better than stock, that's for sure.

*Edit- I saw one of these this morning on my way in to work. I have to give it a little credit, while it's never been a favorite design of mine, I have to admit it's aged really well. I guess this car was ahead of its time, it looks contemporary for something that was released in 2001 and hasn't changed much, if at all.
